The intervention supported 150 beneficiaries in Karare and 150 more beneficiaries in North Horr, helping improve food security and strengthen community resilience during a period of prolonged drought. Upon receiving the food package, the beneficiaries were enriched withknowledge on how to preserve and treat drinking water using Water Guard and how to observe hygienic measures to prevent cases of waterborne diseases. Furthermore, a water point was installed, particularly in Karare, to improve access to water, particularly during drought periods, contributing to long-term community resilience.

With the unwavering support of sisters in charge of the project, Sr. Jackline Kiura and Sr. Eusebia Munene, beneficiaries were mobilized, and the activity was a success. Much appreciation to them, as the process was well organized in an orderly manner to promote accountability and equitable access. The Provincial Development Office (PDO), Mr. Tom, Ms. Rosemary, and Sr. Patricia offered their undying support in monitoring the process and guiding beneficiaries throughout the exercise.
